This then gives you the amount of time it would take to walk that distance. It's a starting point for your estimate.Anna Marklandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03792237948896804771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-868910202777851484.post-85794241984342583742012-04-03T11:43:59.649-07:002012-04-03T11:43:59.649-07:00Scotland in the 800s. I agree that the climate is a strong element to help transport the reader into a different place and time. My heroine in Pagan Queen has to deal with snow and wolves...Vijaya Schartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03562958609545624615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-868910202777851484.post-71581084694364610732012-04-03T08:21:42.483-07:002012-04-03T08:21:42.483-07:00Fantastic post! I've just been dealing with some of this myself for my Scottish historical romance set in the Highlands in late fall when snow can come early. The terrain is very rough with only a tiny trail.Vonda Sinclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16680397260476850190noreply@blogger.com
